Join Friends of the Fox River in cleaning up the Fox River Park frontage at E.B. Shurts at Fox River Sanctuary. Trash removal from the shoreline and stream channel will continue downstream as time allows. Volunteers will need to provide their own canoes (depending on water level) or kayaks and be an experienced paddler (able to reach, lean and get in and out of boats at times). Or alternatively, volunteers with boots can work the shallow shoreline areas at the park. Friends of the Fox River will provide trash removal tools. NOTICE: The City of Waukesha does not sponsor or supervise this activity but is only providing the means to solicit volunteers to the sponsor of the activity. All volunteers will be responsible for their own safety and for providing their own equipment, including life vests or other safety gear. Volunteers will receive a ticket for a free root beer and pretzel at Oktoberfest!
If a shuttle between parks or paddling a 3 miles distance is a barrier, please reach out to Jenni at 847 651 1211 to coordinate. Check out the route here https://fabulousfoxwatertrail.org/printable-maps/
